Frequently asked questions

IS EMITTER OPERATION SAFE?

Yes, the emitter frequency is set responsibly and thoroughly tested. We know examples and effects of experimenting with the frequency of sonic devices. They were described in his works by, among others, prof. dr hab. Jerzy Wilde.

HOW TO DIFFERENTIATE ULTRASONIC SHINE FROM REGULAR ONE?

The ultrasonic shower is characterized by the presence of not only adult female Varroa, but also larval forms of the parasite, such as protonymphs and deutonymphs, as well as light brown young females and males Varroa. Unlike the "chemical" shower, which consists mainly of adult, brown female Varroa, the ultrasonic shower is more diverse and contains different developmental stages of the parasite.

HOW TO ASSESS THE EMITTER EFFECTS? AFTER HOW LONG WILL THEY BE OBSERVED?

The effects of the emitter can be observed within a few days of its activation. Beekeepers often notice the so-called "sonic fall" in the form of parasites that fall on the bottom of the hive. Particularly intensive fall can occur during the late summer reinvasion, which allows monitoring the effectiveness of the method. Regular checking of hygienic bottoms and observing bee activity will also help in assessing the effects of the device.

WHAT IF THE EMITTER BREAKS?

In the event of an emitter failure, we encourage you to contact our customer service department. Each device is covered by a two-year warranty, and the emitter's lifespan is several years. Our technicians will help diagnose the problem and, if necessary, propose repair or replacement of the device.

CAN THE EMITTER BE IN SNOW AND RAIN?

It is recommended to place the device under the bottom of the hive and cover it with foil, which will protect it from moisture.
